More traffic
You could always hire sign twirlers
 No seriously. My guess would be to seek ad trades with local magazines ie. RNR etc. I notice there is no advertising on this site which I think is a great thing, and ideally would like to see it stay that way. Although, local publishing companies trades would be in keeping with the "local" theme and provide extranet exposure. Maybe the list owner or moderators could come up with a flyer of some kind that could be downloaded and printed by the members and then posted at stores, workplace boards etc. Posting messages on Craigslist about the site could generate traffic but I would be careful not to be labeled a Troll.
